MADISON, S.D. – The 2013 North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) Football All-Conference Team has been selected by the league coaches Wednesday.  There are a total of 30 football players listed on the inaugural NSAA Football All-Conference first team, led by Valley City State (N.D.) with eight selections. 

Jamestown (N.D.) tallied seven players on the NSAA Football All-Conference first team, followed by Mayville State (N.D.) with six selections.  Dakota State landed five selections, while Presentation (S.D.) had four selections to the all-conference team.

Derek Elliott was voted as the league's Most Valuable Player Offense, selected by the NSAA Football coaches.  JT Petsch was named to Most Valuable Player Defense.  Jacob Thurston was selected as Most Valuable Senior.  Dennis McCulloch was voted as the inaugural NSAA Football Coach-of-the-Year award.

Jamestown and Valley City State were crowned as co-champions in the first-ever NSAA Football Conference regular-season title with a 3-1 conference record.  Dakota State and Mayville State were tied for third place in the conference standings with a 2-2 conference record.  Presentation finished fifth in the conference standings.

There are 25 players that are selected to NSAA Football All-Conference Honorable Mention team (each NSAA school have five selections on the honorable mention all-conference team).
