YANKTON, SD- The Dickinson State University Cross Country team's competed in the Mt. Marty College Invite. The Men's team finished 4th of 11 and the women's team only raced three runners so no team score was recorded.

Brittney Grove led the Blue Hawks with a 13th place finish after running 19:35.14. Amanda Wolff ran 20:05.93 for a 25th place finish and Cristina Herrera finished 30th with a time on 20:21.86.

"Brittney had an excellent race today finishing in the Top 20 overall and setting a new lifetime PR by 20 seconds," said DSU Head CC Coach Ben Shroyer. "Brittney, Amanda, and Cristina all ran faster today than they did at this meet in 2015."

The Blue Hawks next race will be on November 5th when they host the NSAA Cross Country Meet held at Heart River Golf Course.

Christopher Moreno led the Blue Hawks with a 11th place finish after running 26:35.44. Tristen Guillot finished 15th with a time of 26:49.64.

Jonathan Aman finished 29th with a time of 27:30.46 and Ernest Franssen III finished 36th with a time of 27:49.12.

Daniel Aguirre finished 42nd with a time of 27:57.85, Trey Smollack finished 50th with a time of 28:16.47 and Richard Timmermans finished 51st with a time of 28:19.07.

Clay Goich ran 29:18.09 for a 67th place finish.

"Christopher set a nine second PR and Tristen set a 20 second PR," said DSU Head CC Coach Ben Shroyer. "Both finished in the Top 20 overall individuals. Clay also set a new nine second PR and had a solid run today for us."

"The weather today was perfect with all sun, no wind, and perfect race time temperatures."
